Simulate toolpaths directly after calculation, using the entire machine model or just the moving parts. SolidCAM's advanced machine simulation shows the full kinematic movement of all moving parts. "Dynamic dragging" allows the user to drag each machine axis to visualize and check for clearances.
Curve following strategies allow the definition of a curve to drive the toolpath together with the selected surface(s). The toolpath can either be driven parallel or perpendicular to the curve. Each pass is a true 3D step-over along the surface, to give a accurate scallop regardless of the surface.
The tool axis and tilting can be controlled by eight main strategies, while each main strategies has several different modes to them. Powerful options include tilting through point, line, and curves or the tool can be driven directly from the surface normals, with individual control over lead-lag and side-tilt angles.
