At the beginning of April we released our new version
SolidCAM2007 R11.1, an important update to the previously
released version SolidCAM2007 R11.
SolidCAM2007 R11.1
includes functionality enhancements across all machining
areas, including High-Speed-machining, Simultaneous 5-axes
milling , Indexial 5-axes milling, Turning and Turn-Mill. A
main focus of the new release are also improvements of the
Wirecut module and the Postprocessor generation.
SolidCAM2007 R11.1 is the first version where we have
applied our extended Quality Assurance Automatic procedures.
The continuous rapid expansion of SolidCAM's functionality has
necessitated the implementation of new automatic regression
and testing processes, resulting in a robust software release.
Dear reader, if you want to learn more about our new
version, please visit us at one of the coming events (see
left column) or contact your local reseller.

SolidCAM at
INDUSTRIE Lyon 2007 |
|
From March 6-9 the "INDUSTRIE Lyon 2007" show took place in
Lyon in Southeast France, which is an important center of the
mechanical engineering industry. The INDUSTRIE Lyon 2007 show
covered the main manufacturing areas like machine tools,
cutting & shaping tools, handling & robotics
technologies and manufacturing automation software.
SolidCAM exhibited SolidCAM2007 R11 in a joint booth
together with Sillage,
one of the French SolidWorks Resellers. Jean-Philippe Hervé,
Manager of SolidCAM France, stated: "We team up with the
SolidWorks resellers in France to combine their 3D CAD
offering with our powerful CAM solution including SolidCAM
software, proven post processors and excellent services.
Furthermore we have now complemented our Paris-based support
team by additional technical experts in the Lyon area, who
will enhance our support in Southeast France".

Essai
succeeds with SolidCAM+SolidWorks |
|
One of the fastest growing companies in California’s
Silicon Valley is Essai
Corporation, a leading provider of semiconductor test and
validation interconnects. Essai's products like sockets and
test boards are used globally by semiconductor manufacturers
to test the functionality and reliability of Integrated
Circuit boards.
A main reason the company has grown so
quickly and succeeded in a highly competitive market is its
integrated approach to manufacturing. After choosing
SolidWorks for the design work, Essai evaluated a variety of
CAM programs and finally decided for SolidCAM. Besides the
seamless integration in SolidWorks, Essai required a broad
range of functionality with special emphasis on simultaneous
5-axis machining. Essai is manufacturing sophisticated, custom
parts, and "SolidCAM provides the robust capabilities our
manufacturing personnel need to produce accurate, quality
parts consistently". |

- Date: Tuesday, May 15
- Time: 9:00 - 16:00
An experienced trainer will
guide you through the whole session. In the morning, you start
with SolidWorks2007 to create a 2D sketch and then the
complete 3D part file. In the afternoon, you will apply
various roughing and finishing strategies of SolidCAM2007 to
generate the corresponding toolpaths. Then the part is ready
to be machined on a CNC milling center. If you want to
