First Desktop Metal Shop System Sold to Veteran SolidCAM Customer

The first Desktop Metal Shop system, which uses the Binder Jetting technology for 3D Metal printing mass production, was sold to a veteran SolidCAM CNC machine shop customer!

After over a year of study and practical R&D at our SolidCAM hybrid technology centers, with our Desktop Metal 3D printers and CNC equipment, SolidCAM Additive figured out how to best combine 3D Metal printing with CNC machining, so that we can present it as a viable and cost-saving solution to our 20,000 SolidCAM CNC machine shop customers worldwide!

BAK Kohler Medizintechnik is a SolidCAM customer that does medical manufacturing – we have identified that our SolidCAM customers, doing medical or gun manufacturing, are the first best potential candidates for the DM Shop system.

BAK Kohler Medizintechnik is in Neuhausen, Germany, close to the Tuttlingen area, which has about 3,500 CNC machine shops doing medical, 200 of whom are SolidCAM customers!

BAK Kohler Medizintechnik is a 20-year veteran and happy customer of SolidCAM, using all our CNC machining technologies, for the CAM programming of his advanced CNC machines (Sim5x, Mill-Turn, Swiss).
