April 2014 - Another success for SolidCAM’s iMachining, this time at Industrie Paris, France’s largest manufacturing technologies event, where SolidCAM exhibited the unique and patented iMachining, at live cuttings throughout the fair.

The revolutionary technology of iMachining 2D and iMachining 3D attracted many visitors who wanted to see how they can save 70% and more in machining time and extend their tool life dramatically.

The live cuttings were done with parts from 6060 aluminum, XC48 steel and stainless steel 304, on a 3-axis <link http: www.samsungmachinetools.com>Samsung SMEC LCV500 machine, using cutting tools from<link http: www.hoffmann-group.com int company hoffmann-group.html _blank external-link-new-window external link in new> Hoffmann Group.

The company also launched the new software version of SolidCAM 2014, which is the complete, ‘best-in-class’ Manufacturing Suite for efficient and profitable CNC-Programming inside SolidWorks.

SolidCAM 2014, released at the beginning of the month includes improvements and enhancements throughout its modules: iMachining 2D & 3D, 2.5D Milling, HSS, HSR/ HSM, Indexial multi sided milling, Simultaneous 5x milling, Turning, Advanced Mill-Turn, Solid Probe and WireEDM.
