SolidCAM GmbH appoints Stephan Terhorst as Marketing Manager

(3. Feb. 2011 – es/kdh) Since its foundation in 1984, SolidCAM has grown worldwide to be a most successful CAM Innovator and the Leader in integrated CAM. The SolidCAM system attracts more and more users due to its seamless Integration and full associativity with SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor. SolidCAM is a Gold-Certified partner of SolidWorks for 10 years already. The number of SolidCAM installations worldwide adds up to more than 15.000. In Germany, SolidCAM GmbH was established in 1994 in Schramberg, Germany. Today SolidCAM GmbH has six branches in Germany, in addition to qualified resellers, supporting the currently more than 2.000 SolidCAM customers in Germany. New products such as SolidCAM Xpress and important innovative developments in SolidCAM 2011,such as iMachining, should generate further growth.

To make sure that all this power is communicated to the market, Stephan Terhorst takes over as Marketing manager in Germany from start of 2011. Stephan: "For me marketing is more than the high gloss representation of enterprises and products. I see my task as the interface between customers, business partners and employees, as well as the market and the public. My primary challenge is to guarantee open communication so that the interests of all Members of the SolidCAM family - both internally and externally - are best served."

Before joining SolidCAM, Stephan Terhorst had extensive experience as user and as production manager in the field of CAD/CAM and CNC. Since 2009, Stephan worked in sales and marketing in SolidCAM GmbH subsidiary North-West (Bruehl). Gerhard Lägeler, Manager of SolidCAM GmbH: "Stephan has his roots in the CNC production. He has experience for some years, on both sides of the table. He knows what CAD/CAM users expect. He has worked with systems of our competitors and knows all the advantages of SolidCAM.
