SolidCAM at EMO 2023

The countdown is on - EMO is just around the corner!

Maximum CAM Productivity into the Future is our motto for EMO 2023, which will take place from 18.09. - 23.09.2023 in Hanover.

At SolidCAM Booth C24 in Hall 9 you will find us together with our distribution partners DPS, COFFEE and Solidpro on more than 150 m². We will present the leading, integrated complete CAM solution for SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor and Solid Edge - SolidCAM 2023, as well as innovative 3D metal printing systems for hybrid manufacturing.

High-End LIVE Machining of a Trochoidal Propeller

In order to live up to our own claim as the leading integrated complete CAM solution for SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor, and in the future also in SolidEdge, we are machining on two latest-generation CNC machines. On a 5-axis universal machining center G150 from GROB, a geometrically extremely demanding model of a trochoidal propeller for boat engines is created from a 22 kg aluminum block. The LIVE machining with efficient CAM strategies of the SolidCAM modules iMachining, High-Speed Roughing, High-Speed Machining and 5-axis simultaneous milling, to name just a few, in combination with the dynamic GROB G150 and high-performance tools from Ceratizit, among others, is definitely worth seeing.

Efficiently Program Complex CNC Machining Centers

More and more companies rely on multi-channel turning-milling centers and CNC sliding headstock lathes in their production. Creating CNC programs for these demanding machines places the highest demands on the experience of machine operators and CNC programmers. For much more effective CAM-based programming, we will present SolidCAM 2023. To demonstrate its capabilities, a ballpoint pen will be created as a giveaway on a CITIZEN L20 ATC, with individual parts manufactured from solid. In addition to the clearly structured programming interface, the advanced channel synchronization and a reliable machine simulation form the backbone for efficient CNC manufacturing with the shortest cycle times on these complex CNC centers and sliding headstock lathes.

Hybrid Manufacturing

Additive manufacturing has become an important part of the SolidCAM portfolio since the foundation of SolidCAM Additive GmbH last year. Our SolidCAM technology centers have been equipped with state-of-the-art 3D printing systems. Also, the SolidCAM Additive team has demonstrated in dozens of customer projects that hybrid manufacturing, i.e. the combination of metal 3D printing with subsequent CNC machining, is a cost-effective solution for manufacturing companies of all kinds. Applications range from jigs and fixtures and small batches to high-volume production far beyond mechanical engineering, automotive and medical.
