Emil,

There is more to this story that shows the cooperation that iMachining has created with ISCAR..

It all started when Rafi Ben-Harush from ISCAR visited one of our customers, trying to work out a solution for the cutting problem he was having on this deep part.

Knowing how well iMachining works and of course trying to sell them the proper ISCAR end mill, Rafi called me up and asked me if I can give him an iMachining tool path for the part.


He sent me the part and I immediately created a tool path for the part, using iMachining.

After doing so, I also suggested to Zvika that if a SolidCAM support guy is in the area, it would be a good idea if he would drop by for a visit since the part was about to be cut...

Zvika called David, who immediately went to the customer's site and did the excellent iMachining benchmark – saving 72% in cycle time, cutting deep in stainless steel..

I visited with Michael one of our customers, that machine Electronics products.

The customer called us because of a broken tools problem while working on a stainless steel part.

We came to the factory and made an iMachining 2D benchmark, cutting deep in Stainless steel part.


CNC Machine: Mitsubishi (FANUC)
Material: 303 Stainless steel
Depth of cut: 24 mm
Tool: End mill, diameter 12 mm, 4 teeth (Iscar)  

Customer cutting time : 7 minutes


iMachining cutting parameters: Wizard level 6 

Cutting time iMachining: 2 minutes. iMachining savings: 72% in cycle time

The programmer and his assistant were very impressed.

We left the program on the machine so that the customer can mill more parts.

I am sure that they will buy the iMachining module.
