SolidCAM India showcases amazing live iMachining cutting at IMTEX 2013

..live iMachining cutting demonstrations on Mazak, Takumi, CAMPRO and SEC pavilions

SolidCAM India participated in the 16th Indian Metal-cutting Exhibition, Jan 24-30, 2013, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), India.

IMTEX is the largest exhibition of metal-cutting machine tools and manufacturing solutions in South and South-East Asia. This year, the exhibition showcased the exhaustive range of innovations and technological refinements in the complete product segment of metal- cutting machine tools. More than 900 participants joined the exhibition this year - from India, China, USA, UK, Germany, Spain, Taiwan, Japan and others.

SolidCAM and iMachining at the Mazak Pavilion:

SolidCAM 2013 was showcased at the Mazak Pavilion during IMTEX 2013, on their newly launched Mazak VCS 430A Double Pallet Vertical Machining Centre. Live cutting demonstrations of iMachining were carried out, all 7 days of the exhibition.

Around 25 steel blocks were cut on the Mazak machine - every block was cut in just 21 minutes. The cutting was streamed from a camera which was fixed in the Mazak machine to demonstrate LIVE cutting, attracting a multitude of amazed visitors trying to believe their eyes. The visitors were spellbound at the speed and the finish quality, which is not achievable with any other competitive CAM product.

SolidCAM and iMachining at the Takumi & CAMPRO Pavilion:

SolidCAM 2013 was showcased at the Takumi Pavilion, on their High-speed H10 Vertical Machining Centre, launched during IMTEX 2013. iMachining 2D & iMachining 3D were shown live on the machine, with parts being cut everyday on 20MnCr5 material, using GW Tools. The cutting was streamed to 3 screens which were placed strategically at the Pavilion, attracting a huge audience, awed by the speed of machining.

  

SolidCAM 2013 was also showcased at the CAMPRO Pavilion on their High-speed CNV 850 Machining Centre,  launched during IMTEX 2013.  iMachining 3D and HSM were shown live on the machine, cutting a full model insert of 20MnCr5 material, using GW Tools.

SolidCAM and iMachining at the SEC Pavilion:

SolidCAM 2013 5 Axis Machining was showcased at the Sunita Engineering Corporation (SEC) Pavilion, on their indigenously developed 5 Axis Router for Machine Plastic & Wood Parts.  The highlight of the whole process was the strength of SolidCAM’s Post Processing Solution as the machine did not support Tool Tip control & the Pivot value varied after every tool change. SolidCAM handled the entire process with ease.

Overall IMTEX 2013 was a huge success for SolidCAM as more than 2000 visitors visited our partner booths to see and understand the amazing power of iMachining 2D, iMachining 3D & other powerful machining features that SolidCAM 2013 has to offer.
