Emil,

In last two days I was with our prospective Customer Micon Drilling.

This customer is doing InventorCAM evaluation with trial license.

Now at the last stage they wanted to mill a part with iMachining on 4th axis.

The programming of the part, until now, was very inaccurate and they wanted to have a machined part machined, like they designed it.

After programming the part with InventorCAM and iMachining, we milled it on a older DMU 50 equipped with a fourth axis in 1 hour and 7 minutes.

As Tool we used a Hoffmann Garant Greenring Endmill, with diameter 12 mm and four flutes.

Material was 1.4305 Stainless Steel.

After the part was cut, the COO of the company told me, that until now the milling of the part took over 3 hours.

This means that we are 66% faster and the designer, for the first time in his life, got a machined part, that looks exactly like what he designed.

Customer bought the system with iMachining!
