Chicago, IL - October 20th, 2012 - SolidCAM Inc., along with partners Hurco machine Tools and Travertson Motorcycles  brought CNC manufacturing  innovation to life in an unprecedented display at the IMTS 2012 show in Chicago from September 10-15, 2012.  IMTS is America's largest Manufacturing Show with more than 1,900 exhibitors and 100,000 visitors. The event is held every two years in September at McCormick Place, Chicago.

The CNC manufacturing world was stunned as thousands of attendees were amazed by the capabilities of SolidCAM's iMachining powering a Hurco CNC machine tool to cut Steel far faster than had ever been shown at IMTS.  The stand also featured an incredible display of one of Travertson's award winning custom motorcycles <link http: www.travertson.com>www.travertson.com as an example to what can be accomplished with SolidCAM and iMachining.

Emil Somekh, founder and CEO of SolidCAM," iMachining revolutionary cutting is something that must be seen to be believed, so our goal was to bring live cutting to IMTS.  We are glad to have strong partners like Hurco <link http: www.hurco.com>www.hurco.com, with whom we partnered to display iMachining 2D and our debut of revolutionary iMachining 3D on their class leading CNC machines.  The partnership between SolidCAM and Hurco proved very successful, drawing huge crowds every time the live cutting on the Hurco machine was shown.  People packed the booth, seeing and finally believing, the magic of iMachining 3D".

The SolidCAM stand was manned by experienced sales, technical and demonstration SolidCAM staff and was the busiest corner in the Hurco booth. The amazing display, in addition to the Christian Traveston motorcycle on a pedestal, included video screens from every corner showing live iMachining cutting. The display even won an award for best giveaway in recognition of the SolidCAM racing dirt bike that was also a crowd favorite.

Shaun Mymudes, SolidCAM's Chief Operations Officer and Ken Merritt, SolidCAM's Senior Applications Engineer gave lectures on the revolutionary iMachining 3D at the Hurco booth for all the attendees.  The remarkable number of leads SolidCAM received during the exhibition has proven once again the awesome power of the magical iMachining 2D and 3D.
