SolidCAM in Close Cooperation with Citizen Swiss-Type Distributor

Elbe is the largest and leading company in Israel for the marketing and sale of CNC machines of all kinds. For over 70 years, the company has been selling world-renowned brands, including Okuma for all types of milling up to 5 axes, for Mill-Turn (Multus & Macturn), Doosan for Milling and Citizen for Swiss-Type.

For years SolidCAM has worked closely with Elbe, thus providing the customer with a complete solution that includes the CNC machine and the CAM software for all the enterprise programming needs.

Elbe's engineering, support and application staff, whose large part of work is in building Turn-Key solutions for clients, use many of SolidCAM's modules for programming needs.

The only application, that until 2020 was without a CAM answer from Elbe, is the Swiss-Type and mainly Citizen machines with their different models. After proving the feasibility and assimilating at customer location our Swiss-Type solution, the Elbe Company asked us to provide them with our excellent solution for the Citizen machines.

The process began with a demonstration to the technical team and will continue with focused and in-depth training for the commonly used machines in Israel, Citizen L20 & L12.

Obviously our intention is for Elbe staff to act as a bridge between us and the end customer, which is a WIN/WIN for both parties, as we will be exposed to every customer who purchases a machine through Elbe, and we take away from them most of the complex training and implementation burden.

The Swiss-Type connection between SolidCAM and CNC machine distributors worldwide is essential for introducing our product to every workshop and factory in the field.
