Schramberg, March 2016METAV 2016 turned out to be a success for both exhibitors and visitors. The International Exhibition for Metalworking Technologies took place from February 23-27, 2016 in Düsseldorf (Germany) and was greatly attended by over 35,000 visitors!

SolidCAM GmbH, along with two of our resellers in Germany, DPS and Solidpro, were represented at SolidCAM Booth A97 in hall 14 with 5 demonstration areas.

The proven concept of software presentations, together with hourly LIVE demonstrations, worked extremely well and made the SolidCAM booth a magnet for visitors in hall 14. From the first to the last day of the exhibition, crowds of visitors thronged around the highly dynamic Brother M140x1 machine from W&R and enthusiastically watched 5-Axis Milling & Turning demonstrated with SolidCAM and iMachining, the unique Milling technology.

Dirk Klinge, sales manager of SolidCAM GmbH, was very excited: “With the new area concept, METAV turned out to be an exciting and highly informative event”. A never ending stream of qualified trade fair visitors at the SolidCAM booth led to numerous, interesting and promising new contacts whereas customer care was not neglected. Klinge raves: “Within the first days of the show we had achieved our goals. This is how it should be!”

In addition to SolidCAM’s own booth, additional demonstrations took place at the VDW Nachwuchsstiftung booth in hall 17, presented by the technical instructor Jürgen Kubas and two pupils of Staatliche Feintechnikschule Villingen-Schwenningen.

Dirk Klinge is positive: "Our expectations were far exceeded at this year's METAV. We will remain faithful to this emerging and important exhibition north of the Main River and will definitely participate in 2018 as well.”
