Hi Emil,

On Aug 28, I did an iMachining benchmark, cutting aluminum at our existing SolidCAM customer Micron.

Customer: MICRON

CNC Machine: YCM 

Material: 6061 T6 Aluminum


Depth of cut: 86 mm

Tool: End mill, diameter 20, teeth 3 ( ISCAR )

Cutting time customer: 50 minutes 


iMachining cutting parameters: level 5  (no turbo)

Cutting time iMachining: 18 minutes 

Saving by iMachining: 64% 

The iMachining benchmark was done for eight people, some with more than 30 year machining experience. 

They did not believe that we can cut with the full depth of the tool and with the milling speeds generated by iMachining.


After I cut the part they changed their minds. They were extremely impressed by the results.

The sale of the iMachining module to Mikron was closed today by Zvika.
